The Thij-Be-Re trio, once part of the Amsterdam Big Band, started performing work of their own in 2017. The trio is formed by Thijmen Schoute on piano, Bernt Nellen on drums and Renato Ferreira on double bass and each member contributes to the repertoire. ThijBeRe plays from a concept of dialogue and strong communication, connection and with freedom within the structures of each piece. This helps to create a musical atmosphere going in different directions. In 2020, the trio went into the Zaal100 studio to make and share this personal recording.
